Middle order batsman Rohit Sharma on Wednesday took to Twitter to mock his teammates for their photo with former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler, The Great Khali. While skipper Virat Kohli was one of the first to upload the photo.
He was joined by Later, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya. While reactions and responses poured in from friends, foes and followers, one that particularly stood out was of Rohit Sharma. Very smartly, Rohit uploaded an image of himself in a collage along with the classic group picture and said, “Well tried fellas, but the belt is here 😉😄😜💪.” Needless to add, ever since then, the Twitterverse is having a gala!

Team India is currently in the midst of resting up from their victory against Sri Lanka. The team has won two out of the three match series and will most likely be hoping for a whitewash as they play the final test match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on August 12. Rohit, who is a part of the squad, took his post as an epic opportunity to remind his teammates that while they might have met the professional wrestler, Rohit was gifted a customised WWE champions belt by the Chief Operating Officer of WWE, Paul Michael Levesque when his IPL team, Mumbai Indians emerged victorious for the third time. In fact, when Rohit received the belt, Levesque tweeted an image of the belt with the caption, “Congratulations, @mipaltan. @WWE has something headed your way! @WWEIndia.”
