T-Series is a music label owned by Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (SCIL), an Indian music company founded by Gulshan Kumar which is also engaged in film production and distribution. Currently, key people of the company are Kumar’s son Bhushan Kumar and his younger brother Krishan Kumar. When Gulshan Kumar founded the company back in 1960 the business soon turned into a profitable one. He then decided to start a music production company in Noida and with the growth and increase in demands, he decided to settle in Mumbai.
As of August 2017, the label’s music channel has over 22 million subscribers, making it the 9th most-subscribed YouTube channel, and the most subscribed Hindi-language YouTube channel. It is also the most viewed channel on YouTube having more than 21 billion views. Also T Series is one of the most popular and oldest music, film production and distribution company in India.
