With the two-year ban on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) ending and the BCCI formally welcoming back the two franchises in IPL, but CSK captain MS Dhoni, who spent two years with Rising Pune Supergiant (formerly Rising Pune Supergiants) in the IPL, celebrated it in style on social media.
The fans of the Chennai Super Kings started their Friday with positive news, the comeback of their team. The Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings had the chance of playing the IPL again during the ban period, for the respective teams were coming to an end, imposed due to the betting scandal. The sport requires zero tolerance to corruption to maintain the sanctity of the sport. Many fans had tweeted the news of the comeback of C.S.K. Most of them rooted for the ex-Indian captain, M.S.Dhoni. The fans expressed their desire to see him as captain, as Dhoni had been off-captaincy even for the I.P.L.
Dhoni posted a photograph of himself wearing a CSK jersey, sporting his customary jersey number ‘7’ and the Tamil word ‘Thala’ written over it. ‘Thala’ in Tamil translates to ‘leader’.
