Rape cases are increasing day by day in our society, especially against children. The recent worst child rape case was the Ryan School which put the school and authorities in shame. Now, one more school has come to light and this time it’s Malviya Nagar’s Sant Nirankari Public School.
This time a 6-year-old was raped by the housekeeping staff in the washroom of the school. Police have arrested the 22-year-old victim in connection with this incident. According to reports, the girl had gone to the washroom and needed help when this housekeeping staff who was a male came in instead of a female staff and took advantage of the situation and molested her.
“She told everything to her mother who consulted her husband and they together met the school’s principal. They lodged FIR against Rakesh,” said the officer.
Once the kid reached home she narrated the whole incident to her parents who further filed a police complaint which was further taken to the school authorities. The case was registered under Section 6 of POSCO (Protection of Child from Sexual Offences) Act and 376 (Punishment for rape) of Indian Penal Coda at Malviya Nagar police station. “Immediately after the case was registered, the accused was tracked down from his house in Jahagirpuri area.
The incident also drew the attention of the Delhi Government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s media adviser Nagender Sharma tweeted, “Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has asked his Chief Secretary to begin a probe in the alleged rape of minor kid.” Doctors say that the girl will have to undergo a surgery for treating internal wounds. Her parents are in a state of shock and couldn’t speak much.
